Grammy Week 2011

A special moment for me during Grammy Week was meeting Roy Haynes at the Special Merit Awards. One of the best Jazz drummers in the world, Roy received a Lifetime Achievement Award recognizing his contributions to recorded music. Here we are sharing a few stories about his time playing with one of my favorites, Stan Getz.

This is live recording at it's most basic. I recorded Camp Freddy fronted by Chester Bennington with my friend Fred Archambault. The next day we mixed Alice Cooper's "18" and put it up on the web for Norman Lear's, Declare Yourself. www.declareyourself.com
